Forgiveness Is a Necessity
As Healing Evangelist J.K. Fenuku entered, he led us to scripture with a powerful word from God:
Scriptures: Matthew 5:23–24, Matthew 11:28–30
“First make amends, talk to your brother, make sure everything is right before giving Me something.”
The Reality:“That is what God is saying here. It is useless to be a child of God, pray and worship, and still have unforgiveness in your heart.”
The Invitation with a Condition:“Jesus said, ‘All you with sickness, burdens, come to Me,’ but you cannot come to Me if you still cannot forgive. Forgiveness is so necessary if you want to walk with God.”
Release Those Who Have Hurt You
“You cannot come to Jesus with a filthy and dark heart. You cannot come to Him who is full of mercy and love while you are full of hatred.”
Examine Yourself
“You have to check if you are fit to come to Him before you do so.”
The Standard:“Who is fighting you in your community? Jesus said, ‘For you to come to Me, you need to forgive that person—and if you cannot forgive, then don’t come.'”
The Manifestation:“The power of God and the manifestation of that power comes through forgiveness.”
The Contradiction:“You are harbouring hatred in your heart, but are crying to God saying, ‘Why me?'”
A Clean Heart for Jesus to Abide
“Jesus is calling you and He will never call you empty-handed. He has something for you, but you will never receive that as long as you have hatred and unforgiveness in your heart.”
The Impossibility
“It is impossible to enjoy Jesus with an unforgiving heart. Jesus needs to live in your heart; in order for Him to live there, your heart needs to be clean.”
The Surface Lie
“Many will say, ‘I have forgiven them, we are fine,’ until they hear that person’s name or they meet that person on the road.”
Allow the Holy Spirit to Grow
“A forgiving spirit breaks bondage and chains that you cannot see.”
The Unseen Breakthrough
“When you go on your knees and release your heart, it begins to break chains you cannot see, but you will begin to see the effects of it.”
Activating the Dormant Spirit
“Everyone has the Holy Spirit in them, but the Spirit is dormant. For the Spirit to grow, you have to forgive those who have offended you.”
The Promise:“Once the Holy Spirit takes control, He will be your guide.”
The Mark of Maturity
“Allow others to insult you; it must never concern you. God created us out of love and wants us to have the same love for one another.”
When forgiveness is a necessity you embrace—not an option you negotiate—the Holy Spirit awakens, bondages break, and Jesus takes His rightful place in your heart.
