Choose Jesus Over Temptation: Learning from Moses’ Disobedience | Let There Be Peace International Ministry
Date: August 23, 2026
Location: Let There Be Peace International Ministry
Speaker: Jarus Naidoo
Theme: Choose Jesus Over Temptation

A Blessed Sunday Gathering
On August 23, 2026, the families of Let There Be Peace International Ministry came together for another blessed Sunday in the presence of God. The message delivered a sobering warning: choose Jesus over temptation—because one moment of disobedience can undo a lifetime of faithful service.
Intercession and Worship
Surrendered Prayer
Our intercessor opened the service in prayer. Together, we asked God for His mercy and surrendered our lives to Him.
Joyous Worship
Our dynamic worship team ushered us into God’s presence:
- “Uma Jehovah” – Joyous praise
- “Akekho Ofana” – Celebratory praise
- “Lily of the Valley” – Reverent worship

Learning from Moses
As Jarus Naidoo entered, he began to share the Word God had placed in his heart:
Scripture: Numbers 20:7–13
“Moses had a weakness of disobedience and anger, and he could not overcome it. God told Moses to speak to the rock, but he did not believe God, and so he struck the rock twice, which angered God.”
The Lesson, Not the Model
“We must learn from Moses, not aim to be like him. All of Moses’ hard work to bring the people out of Egypt went in vain because of his disobedience.”

The Consequences of Temptation
“All these temptations that we fall into—smoking, drinking, fighting—anger God. Everything we have has been given to us by God, yet we use it to disobey Him.”
Scripture: Genesis 3:1–13
“Satan fooled Eve, and in the same way, he is fooling us today. He is tempting us to follow the world and sin, but it is your choice whether you listen to him or not.”

Recognising the Enemy
“What causes you to fight, smoke, and drink? It is the enemy fooling you. These things put you in more bondage. They do no good.”
Adam’s Choice
“Adam could easily have said no to Eve, but he chose to eat the fruit, and because of it, he was punished.”
Choose Jesus
“If you want your life to change, you have to stop following Satan and stop following the world. Open your heart to Jesus. Pray and read the Word.”
The Path to Transformation
“If you want God to change your life, you have to stop falling into temptation. If you are struggling, go to your room and pray. Ask God for His strength. Read your Bible. Stop following your friends who are leading you down the wrong path.”

Stand Firm in Your Faith
“Your family and friends will say that you are crazy, but only you know what is best for you, and that is to follow Jesus.”
The Warning:“You must stop fooling yourself by allowing the devil to fool you.”
When you choose Jesus over temptation, you break the cycle of bondage, silence the voice of compromise, and walk in the victory that Moses momentarily lost.

Prayer Focus
“In the name of Jesus, every power of backwardness in my life, every power of backwardness in my family, I command you out!”
Join us at Let There Be Peace International Ministry as we choose Jesus over temptation, learn from Scripture’s warnings, and walk in unwavering obedience.
