PRAYER

The members of Let There Be Peace International Ministry entered the house of God, 16th February 2025, with joyous spirits, ready to receive something mighty from God. As we started service our intercessor, Mr. Jarus Naidoo,  began leading prayer. We thanked God and blessed His Holy name and we cleansed ourselves with His precious blood. We gave God all the glory, honour and praise.

The service was then handed over to our Dynamic Worship Team as they began to sing uplifting praises (Angimbonanga),  (Akekho ofana noJesu), (UmuJehova evil iminyango) and adorning worship (Inhliziyo yami igcwele wena) (Yebo nkosi yami).

PRAYER

With the congregation in a heart of worship, our Woman of God, Ms. Fathima Maharaj, then entered to share the word that God had given her. “What is prayer? Do you really understand the meaning and depth of prayer and what it can do for you?”

Prayer is a special gift and language given to us. Prayer in intentionally giving a request or conveying a message unto God. When we pray something happens in the spirit realm and when we communicate with God, He communicates with us back.

Many Christians pray but with no meaning and others don’t pray yet claim to be children of God. When we pray, our prayers release supernatural healing and power. Prayer is absolutely necessary and vital as a child of God. Our woman of God then began to explain some different types of prayer:

1. PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING. .

This doesn’t mean we should pray only when you are happy with your situation in life. That is not real thanksgiving. We were then led to a scripture that talks about Thanksgiving (Colossians 4 vs 2).

Through every single thing we go through there is a reason to thank God. Through every high and low we MUST thank God bc it is our way of telling God that no matter what we face, good or bad, He is still God and He holds the power. This shows your faith even through your hardships. “Thank you Jesus”, these are such easy words to say. When you wake up, thank God for things that haven’t even manifested yet. Thank Him in advance. Thank Him for blessings even when you feel like you have none. Thank Him for healing even before you feel healed. Thank God for every small thing you have.

It is never too late to start praying. Some people may say, “When is God going to help me? When will God save me and bless me?” but did you ever stop to pray and seek God. Without prayer you are putting yourself into the hands of the enemy.

2. WARFARE PRAYER.

Do you only pray when you feel like you are being attacked? No! Warfare prayer needs to be done every single day because the enemy is always plotting evil against us. They do not want to see you happy and thriving. We need to stand on God’s word and come against the enemy in prayer.

Use the blood of Jesus, speak with the authority that God has given you. Use the word of God because that is our weapon that we wield against the enemy. Scriptural prayer is extremely important in warfare prayer. Do not allow yourself to be lazy. Activate the spirit in you and fight in prayer. Let us not hand over our lives to the devil.

3. PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT.

We do not walk the path of Christ alone. The Holy Spirit has entered us and abides in us. There are many situations where we as Christians can’t form words to pray but that is where the Holy Spirit helps us. He intercedes for us in prayer. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit prays in moans and groans. That is more powerful than any words could ever be because the Holy Spirit understands your heart and prays from your inner being. Praying in the spirit activates your healings, blessings and the spirit realm, which in turn will change your life so pray continuously. Make it a priority! It is never too late so start now! Amen.
