GOD’S MERCY NOT YOUR WORKS

Location: Let There Be Peace International Ministry
Speaker: Healing Evangelist J.K. Fenuku
Theme: God’s Mercy Not Your Works

A Unified Gathering in Christ’s Presence

On March 1, 2026, the members of Let There Be Peace International Ministry gathered in one accord to convene in the presence of Jesus Christ. The service delivered a humbling yet liberating truth: God’s mercy not your works determines your blessings, your standing, and your breakthrough.

Opening in Intercession and Praise

Surrendered Prayer

Our intercessor opened the service by leading the congregation in thanksgiving and surrender. Together, we thanked God for all and committed our lives and the service into His mighty hands.

Dynamic Worship

Our worship team created an atmosphere of joy and victory through powerful songs:

  • “Simi Lapha” – Joyous praise
  • “Obrigado” – Grateful celebration
  • “Abba Father” – Intimate worship
  • “Victory Belongs to Jesus” – Declarative triumph

Examine Your Intention: Why Do You Come to God?

As Healing Evangelist J.K. Fenuku entered the sanctuary, he delivered a challenging opening word:

“Never go to God because of what you want to get. It will never happen. Instead, Satan will give you something to destroy your life. Go to God because you love Him.”

Scripture Foundation: Romans 9:13–15

The message was clear: You can work very hard, but it might not work out for you. It is up to God to mark you. This is the essence of understanding that God’s mercy not your works opens doors.

How to Please God: The Mercy Perspective

The Danger of Looking Down on Others

“Many today, when God blesses, heals, or delivers them, see those who are struggling as lazy. But they do not know that everything they have is because God showed them mercy.”

The Humbling Truth:“What you have and what you are doing—someone somewhere can do better than you.”

The Simple Requirement

“God said that for you to please Him, you have to love one another. That statement is very clear.”

God’s Wonderful Mercy: The Great Equalizer

The service emphasized that God’s mercy not your works is the foundation of everything:

“You only have that job or thing because God has shown you mercy. It is not about what you have.”

Breaking Human Assumptions

“A man may be sick and yet be a candidate of heaven. A man may be poor and yet be a friend of God.”

The Impossibility of Bribery:“You cannot do anything to bribe God. You just have to live according to His Word.”

Nothing Without Him: The Coca-Cola Analogy

To drive home the message that God’s mercy not your works defines us, Pastor Fenuku used a powerful illustration:

“God put the Scripture this way so that we may not boast. You are nothing without God. Without Coca-Cola inside, the bottle is useless. In the same way, without God, you are nothing.”

Living in Grace

“You cannot have pride. You cannot boast. We live a life depending on, walking in, and moving through and out of the grace of God.”

The Wake-Up Call:“Do you think you are so special that you woke up today all by yourself?”

Thank God for What You Have

The Job Complaint Test

“Some will say, ‘My job is not nice.’ But the day you got that job, did you sit down and thank God for it?”

The Reality Check:“What you have and what I have is not by our own power, but by the grace and mercy of God.”

The Mercy Principle

“Never look at someone and insult them. Some who seem lazy are working better jobs than the hardworking. What does that tell us? That the race is not for the fastest or the strongest. It is for those on whom His mercy falls.”

This is God’s mercy not your works in action.

Thinking Before You Pray

Pastor Fenuku delivered practical instruction for effective prayer:

“Never judge yourself for your situation. Think before you pray. What does that mean? Look around you. Who have you insulted? If you are fighting with someone, God will not hear you, so think before you pray.”

Mercy received requires mercy given.

Prayer Focus

“I refuse every evil. I refuse sickness, disappointment and failure in the name of Jesus.”

“I reject every voice of the enemy upon my life and upon my family.”

Join us at Let There Be Peace International Ministry as we learn to depend entirely on God’s mercy rather than our own efforts.
