The families of Let There Be Peace International Ministry gathered on August 9, 2026, for another blessed Sunday service. The message cut through religious pretense to the heart of authentic faith: God is love—and knowing Him means demonstrating His character in every area of life.

Surrendered Prayer
Our intercessor opened the service, leading us in prayer. Together, we sought God’s mercy and surrendered our lives into His hands.

Honoring God
As Bethany Pillay entered, she led us to scripture with a powerful message:
Scriptures: John 8:54–55, Luke 11:27–38, Matthew 12:46–50
“Firstly, Jesus talks about honoring God and not Himself. But what does it mean to honor God?”
The Definition:“To honor God is about doing His will. It is about acknowledging that everything you have and everything you do is not by your own will or power, but by God’s.”
The Examination:“What in your life shows that you truly know God?”
Knowing God Through His Character
“In the Scripture, God is not talking to the people of this world or to non-believers. He is talking to Christians who say they know God, but do not demonstrate His character. He is calling them liars.”
The Standard of Reflection
“To know God is to reflect His character—His love and His forgiveness.”
The Contradiction Exposed
“We say we know God, but we gossip with friends, fight and insult other people in our community, and hold grudges against those who have hurt us. We claim to know God but have no compassion or capacity to forgive.”
Reflecting God in Our Lives
Bethany shared a personal example:
“As a young lady growing up in the Kingdom of God, I also need to reflect God in the things that I do. While others are going clubbing, drinking, and smoking, I need to demonstrate God’s character by staying away from those things.”
Knowledge vs. Practice
“It is good to know the Word of God, but it is useless to us if we do not live according to it. Knowing the words on the pages and keeping them are two very different things.”
Knowing the Word vs. Living the Word
“Some may know the Bible from front to back and still not know God because they do not love as God loves.”
The Greater Blessing
“God is saying that those who keep, obey, and practice His Word are more blessed than even the womb that bore Him.”
The Guarantee:“This Scripture makes it very clear that those who demonstrate God’s love are the ones who truly know Him. And when you really know God, your healing, your blessing, and your breakthrough are guaranteed.”
God Is Love
Scripture: 1 John 4:8
“Simply put, God is love.”
The Litmus Test
“If you cannot love as He loves, forgive, or help those in need, then you do not know God.”
Weekly Self-Examination
“Take a moment to think about the week that has passed. What did you do that displayed God’s character? Who did you talk to about Jesus, and what can you say about Him?”
The Call to Action
“Many of us today criticize others instead of thinking about what we can do to help them and draw them closer to God. Stop saying you know God and start showing it through your actions and through your character.”
The Identity:“God is love, and we were created in His image. That means we were created to love. So, from now on, begin to display God’s love.”
When you truly believe God is love, your life becomes His mirror—reflecting mercy where there is judgment, forgiveness where there is offense, and compassion where there is indifference.

“Every evil altar fighting against me, I break that connection right now!”
