On the 24th of August 2025 the families of Let There Be Peace International Ministry gathered in one accord to spend another in the presence of God. We began the service with prayer.
A time of prayer and praises
Our intercessors led prayer as we thanked God and asked for His mercy and guidance. After that, our Dynamic worship team led us in praise (We will never settle for less), (Bambelela), followed by worship (Abba Father), (Victory belongs to Jesus)
An important question.
Our Man of God Healing Evangelist JK Fenuku started the sermon with this important question. “How many years have we been screaming, “My past is over,” but when you look, it is still there?” We turned to scripture as the Spirit led (Matthew 16 vs 14-16). Only when you can walk in this, your past will truly be over.
When is your past over?
What is Jesus asking us to see and hear? He is talking to me and you. He is saying, “Your blessings, breakthrough, healing are sure, but only when you can hear and see.” A person who has been a Christian for their whole life would say, “My father had cancer, so I too will die of cancer.” But that same person would shout, “My past is over,” in church. You do not know what you are saying. If you say “your past is over,” then when is it over? Do we understand the statement?
When you know a truth in God, nothing can stop you.
If you understand this, then you will not fight anyone who fights you, no matter the situation. We say, “Faith is now, believe now, receive now.” But we find that everything is delaying. What is happening? Is Jesus lying to us? When was your past over? Someone can be staying in a 100 rand house and someone else in a 1 million rand house. But there is more peace in that 100 rand house. When you know a truth in God, nothing can stop your forward movement. Our Man of God encouraged us further by saying “When God called me, if God did not reveal the truth to me, I would have returned back to my old life.” You can be happy in any situation with God.
You past was over before you were born!
As we continued, we turned again to scripture: (1 Peter 2 vs 24) and (Isaiah 53 vs 5). “You were healed. You were delivered. You were set free.” It was not our righteousness that took Jesus to the cross, but it was our sin. Your past was over before you were born.
Just like the word that God gave us last week: so far as your mother gave birth to you, there is a purpose for you. There is something written for you. If you do not go through what you are going through now, then how can you give a testimony to glorify Jesus? Your past was over even before your mother gave birth to you.
Stand firm on God’s word
Jesus said, “They have eyes but they cannot see, ears but cannot hear.” That their past is over. When Jesus was born and the angels met the shepherds, he said, “Behold, the Savior is born.” Jesus is saying, “You that cannot walk, you cannot walk because you cannot see that I am here to heal you. You do not believe your past is already over before you were born.” Whether good or bad, whatever happens to you, stand firm and say, “I know my past is over.”
God never makes mistakes. Stop looking at your surroundings. Open your eyes and see. Open your ears and hear. Open your eyes and see that you are wonderfully made. You are special. Come out from stress, anxiety, depression, failure. Command these things out.
