The families of Let There Be Peace International Ministry gathered in one accord once again for another powerful Sunday service on the 19th of January 2025. All hearts were prepared to receive the word and blessings that God has in store. We began our service with intercession as our intercessor, Mrs. Pearl Fenuku, led us in prayer.
We prayed gave God the glory and exalted His holy name. We asked for mercy and surrendered everything that concerns us to Jesus. With the congregation in an atmosphere of thanksgiving, our dynamic worship team then began singing joyful praises (Thank you Lord) and magnifying worship (See what the Lord has done), (There is a race).
Our Man of God, Healing Evangelist JK. Fenuku, then entered to share a lesson of utmost importance. He began by saying, “Many of us have forgotten the foundation of being a Christian. We raise ourselves and act superior to others.” Some of us have forgotten that what we have on earth is only borrowed. We then turned to the Bible to look at the foundation of being a Christian (Luke 9 vs 54-55), (Matthew 25 vs 40).
The Bible states clearly, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of”, meaning that you do not know what spirit lives in you. When you do not know what spirit is inside of you, you have completely missed the mark.
In our reading from Matthew, most Christians only focus on the prior of this chapter. We are forgetting some very important things; when you are walking with someone, you are walking with Jesus. When you insult someone, you are insulting Jesus. When you steal from someone, you are stealing from Jesus. We honour Jesus by valuing others. This is the basics of Christianity and this is what the world sees. When Jesus died on the cross He saved us so that we can save others.
The way you treat others shows what spirit lives in you. Light and darkness can never mix, it can either be one or the other that lives within you. Take a good look at yourself and identity what spirit lives in you.
You have to fully believe that when you are walking with someone, you are walking with Jesus. It might not be physically seen but it is a fact that we as Christians need to be aware of.
If you are insulting and hating others and then go into 40 days and 40 nights of fasting do not expect your prayer to be answered. No matter how much others will hate you and put you down it is a must that you love them in return. Yes, a friend will comfort you and advise you but an enemy will push you further, test you and intimately make you better yourself without you even realizing it. Every stone that the enemy throws your way, you need to take that stone and use it to elevate yourselves.
We need to view everyone as Jesus, even those that are homeless and begging on the streets. Life now is very different from the Old Testament. In the times of the Old Testament people had to use sacrifices to cleanse themselves but now our sins have already been paid for.
“The one that lives in me does not allow me to insult and steal. He gives me the grace to forgive.” We as Christians forget this and that is why you doubt God. You need to allow Jesus in! You have to know who He is for you to be able to live by faith, to forgive and to let love lead. Many go to church, pray and fast but still feel like something is missing. That is because the spirit living in you is not of Him. We sit and harbour hatred and then wonder why our prayers have not been answered. Only your own actions can stop the spirit of God in you.
Take your mind back. Reflect. Think about where you have lost your way and return to that place. Pick up where you left off and continue in the path of the Lord! Amen.
MASS PRAYER
1. With the voice of God I disconnect myself from every spirit of anger, bitterness, hatred and unforgiveness in the mighty name of Jesus.
2. This year I connect myself with success, prosperity and blessings in Jesus name.
3. Every channel of healing, blessing and breakthrough be open in the name of Jesus.
